1. Information We Collect

Schemer is a coaching platform. We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, build your program, use our services, or contact us for support.

• Account Information: Name, email address, password, and (for coaches) school or organization, sport, and coaching role
• Program & Team Data: Rosters, schedules, practice plans, playbooks, play diagrams, workouts, film, and other coaching content you create or upload
• Athlete Information: Information coaches enter about their athletes — such as name, jersey number, position, and contact details used to invite athletes to the team (see Section 5)
• Uploaded Content: Photos and documents you upload (for example, pictures of plays, practice scripts, schedules, or whiteboards) so Schemer can turn them into digital content
• Usage Data: Information about how coaches use the service, such as pages visited and features used (see Section 9)
• Technical Data: IP address, browser or device type, and app version
• Communication Data: Messages you send to Schemer's assistant and messages you send to us for support
• Payment Information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We never store your full card details on our servers

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services:

• Provide and operate the Schemer platform, including its coaching assistant and automations
• Generate and deliver coaching content — practice scripts, play cards, workouts, and schedules — to you and your team
• Send notifications you've set up, in the app, by email, or by text message
• Process your requests and transactions
• Send important notices and updates
• Improve our services and develop new features
• Provide customer support
• Ensure security and prevent fraud

3. AI Processing

Schemer's core features are powered by artificial intelligence. Content you provide — such as messages to the assistant, uploaded documents and photos, and your program details — is processed by our AI service providers (such as Anthropic) to generate coaching content, extract information from uploads, and operate the assistant. These providers process your content on our behalf to deliver the service and do not use it to advertise to you.

4. Information Sharing & Service Providers

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• With your team — content you distribute (plays, scripts, workouts, film) is shared with the athletes and staff you send it to
• With service providers who operate parts of the platform on our behalf, including payment processing (Stripe), AI processing (Anthropic), email delivery, text messaging (Twilio), media hosting (Cloudinary), product analytics (PostHog), and cloud infrastructure
• With your explicit consent
• To comply with legal obligations
• To protect our rights and safety
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

Text Messaging (SMS)

With your consent, we send text messages such as one-time verification codes and the account notifications you enable — check-ins and reminders from your coaching assistant, content-ready notices, and automation status updates. You opt in by providing your phone number in the app or on our website — when signing in, verifying your number, or enabling text notifications in your settings. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers and text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except with SMS delivery providers acting on our behalf solely to deliver the messages described above.

5. Athlete Data & Children's Privacy

Schemer is built for coaches and trainers. Athletes join through an invitation from their coach or team, and some athletes may be minors. We handle athlete information with extra care:

• Athlete information is provided by the coach or team and is used solely to operate team features — assigning plays, quizzes, workouts, film, and team communication
• We do not run product-analytics tracking on athlete accounts
• We do not show advertising to anyone, and we never sell athlete information
• Schemer is not directed to children under 13, and athlete accounts exist only under the oversight of a coach, team, or organization
• Parents or guardians may contact us at admin@schemer.pro to review or request deletion of their athlete's information

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting admin@schemer.pro.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and update your personal information
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of marketing communications
• Request data portability
• File a complaint with regulatory authorities

9. Cookies, Analytics & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and operate the service. We use product analytics (PostHog) to understand how coaches use Schemer — for example, which features are used most — so we can improve the product. Analytics applies to coach accounts only; athlete accounts are not tracked. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

10. Third-Party Services

Our service may contain links to third-party websites (for example, film hosted on external platforms) or integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
